Special Mass on 3 of November

Special Mass on 3 of November

Honoring the Saints and Praying for the Departed

November is a special month in the life of the Church—a time when we lift our hearts in gratitude and prayer for those who have gone before us. On All Saints’ Day (November 1), we celebrate the countless men and women who now share in the joy of God’s presence. These saints, known and unknown, are a reminder that holiness is possible for each of us, and that life in Christ extends beyond this world.

The very next day, All Souls’ Day (November 2), invites us to turn our prayers to all the faithful departed. In remembering those who have died, we acknowledge a profound truth: we are all part of God’s family, united across time and eternity. Our prayers, Masses, and acts of love help the souls of the departed on their journey toward God’s fullness of life.

In our parish, it is a cherished tradition to offer a special Mass for all those who have died in the past year. Since this year November 2 falls on a Sunday, this Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 3 at 7:00 pm. I warmly invite everyone to join us, to pray for our beloved dead, and to reflect on the hope that Christ’s victory over death brings to all who believe.

Let us come together in prayer and remembrance, trusting in God’s mercy and celebrating the gift of eternal life.

Dear Parishioners,

Dear Parishioners,

Dear Parishioners,

As a member of the Society of the Divine Savior (Salvatorian Fathers), I am obliged to participate in our religious community this upcoming week. All confreres working in Canada will gather to discuss various matters related to our Religious Order in different provinces in Canada. This meeting is an opportunity for us to pray together, as well as to spend time as a religious community.

Therefore, I will be absent from the parish from Tuesday, October 28, to Thursday, October 30. As a result, there will be no Masses at the parish on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of that week.

Thank you for your understanding, and I kindly ask for your prayers for all Salvatorian Fathers working in Canada.

Fr. Mariusz

Feast of Saints Simon and Jude, Apostles – October 28

Feast of Saints Simon and Jude, Apostles – October 28

This Tuesday, October 28, the Church celebrates the feast of Saints Simon and Jude, two of Jesus’ twelve apostles. Though little is known about their lives, their witness to Christ has inspired generations of believers.

Saint Simon, often called “the Zealot,” is remembered for his fervent love for God and commitment to spreading the Gospel. Saint Jude, also known as Thaddeus, is known as the patron saint of desperate or lost causes. Together, they remind us that every Christian, no matter their background, is called to courageously share the Good News.

As we honor these apostles, let us pray for their intercession. May their example inspire us to be faithful in our daily lives, to persevere in our faith, and to reach out in love to those around us.

A simple way to celebrate their feast is by offering a prayer or attending Mass this Tuesday in their honor. Saints Simon and Jude teach us that even in times of uncertainty, God calls us to be bold witnesses of His love.

All Souls Day – Sunday, November 2, 2025

All Souls Day – Sunday, November 2, 2025

This year, All Souls Day falls on a Sunday and replaces the usual Sunday Mass.

  • Saturday evening Mass on November 1 celebrates All Saints Day and fulfills your Sunday obligation.
  • Sunday Mass on November 2 follows the special All Souls Day prayers (Gloria and Creed are not said).
  • Readings and vestment colors (white, violet, or black) are chosen for remembering all the faithful departed.

Let’s pray together for our loved ones who have passed.
