As your parish priest, I would like to share a few thoughts on the profound significance of Divine Mercy Sunday, which we will celebrate this year on Sunday, April 12, at 3:00 PM with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
Divine Mercy is at the heart of God’s love for each one of us. Through the revelations given to St. Faustina Kowalska, we are reminded that no sin is too great for God’s forgiveness, and that His mercy is always available to heal, comfort, and renew us. In today’s world, where so many feel lost, discouraged, or burdened by guilt, this message of mercy is not only relevant—it is essential.
Our celebration is a special opportunity to encounter the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, to meditate on His infinite mercy, and to open our hearts to the grace He offers. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy, prayed with trust, is a powerful reminder that Jesus Himself invites us: “Jesus, I trust in You.”
For our parish, Divine Mercy Sunday is a moment to unite as a community in prayer and love, to support one another spiritually, and to bring God’s mercy into our daily lives. I invite all of you – young and old – to join us, to experience God’s healing touch, and to share His mercy with others.
Let us pray that through this devotion, our hearts will be strengthened, our faith renewed, and our lives transformed by the boundless love of God.
